I am passionate about the organization and development of cities and municipalities. Cities and municipalities, in their own way, are also brands that can be relevant and distinctive, but they are of course more. They are living communities, places where very diverse people with very different needs try to live, work, enjoy, and learn together.
For Unizo, in collaboration with the University of Breda, I developed a participatory process to identify the DNA of a city or municipality. The aim was to use this as a foundation not only to build communication, city marketing, or branding but also to create a unique and relevant city or municipality.
With this concept, we won a tender from the Province of Limburg, where we worked with around 20 cities. Aside from developing the process, I guided all the cities and municipalities, together with Lies Daenen, Mathias Declerck, and Johan Robben. More information can be found at www.naardekern.be
